Description de l'événement

The Castle of Ribes, which dates back to the 10th century, has witnessed the historical evolution of Ribes and these visits explain this process from its early stages until nowadays.

Through pictures, videos, sounds and models, visitors are able to gain in-deep knowledge of the landscape and geological characteristics of the area, the relationship between the Castle and nearby constructions and why the castle sits on top of a cliff. Fauna, flora, and even local cuisine are displayed throughout the visit as well as the lives of some of the most important people who inhabited the castle thorugh its history, from the first feudal lords to the great dancer José de Udaeta.

General admission: 5€

Child ticket between the ages of 5 and 8: 2,5€

Free entrance for children between the ages of 0 and 4 (no ticket or reservation required)

Maximum punctuality is necessary for an optimal visit.

The first and second floors, are not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility or wheelchairs.

Visita agradable y tranquila

La visita estuvo bien, nos gustó y la persona que nos guió fue cercana y muy agradable. Fuimos 4 juntos y no acudió nadie más de modo que tuvimos toda la atención de la guía. Comentar que la web de las entradas es un lío, no se sabe que quiere decir entrada normal o reducida, por lógica se entiende que puede ser para personas mayores, niños o grupos pero en ningún sitio encontramos explicación al respecto y al preguntar a la guía, nos dijo que solo era para menores de hasta 5 años, también encontramos problema con el tipo de visita puesto que no vimos la forma de cambiar inglés por castellano o catalán, así como elegir el horario de las 11 que era el deseado. Quizás es que somos torpes o quizás habría que mirar de ajustar esa web a las necesidades de las futuras visitas.

Excellent Informative Tour

This tour is an opportunity to step inside the castle on the outskirts of Sant Pere de Ribes, and to learn about its fascinating history, and that of the town it is connected to. The experience is supported by a range of audio-visual materials, and the guide is very knowledgeable and able to respond to questions and build on things she's said. This was my third visit, and every time I have visitors it is first on my list of places to take them in town. Highly recommended.
